These shops are abundant in Chinese areas, from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, to Malaysia (places where a majority of the inhabitants are Chinese, such as Muar, Batu Pahat, Melaka, Ipoh, Klang and Penang), and several Chinatowns. Similar shops - but specialising in paper toys along with joss paper (神料纸扎用品), can be found at Hàng Mã Street in Hanoi, Vietnam.
